This seems too good to be true–and it is. This price is per liter. One liter = .264 gals, in other words, about a quarter gallon, which makes the price per gallon $4.48. This price is always for the 87 grade too, with 89, what I usually get, about 10 cents more. They say that the reason gas is so expensive is that it is taxed to subsidize public transportation which I would be in support of if BUSES WEREN’T EXPENSIVE TOO. A one-way bus fare is $2.50. (And that’s just for one zone!) And a monthly pass ranges from $81-$151.
Ask any Vancouverite and they will tell you that this is the best city in the best province in the country. It is a distinction we all pay for.
