Get this.
It comes with crème fraiche whipped cream and maple syrup. Box up everything else and eat this at the table. Trust me.
Everything else:
- Scrambled eggs with bruschetta on grilled baguette with roasted tomatoes & pesto (either the bruschetta is conceptual or they forgot to put it on my plate)
- Fried potatoes (burst of initial flavor but lacking finish)
- Housemade Italian sausage (Eh. Not my favorite but my mom really liked them.)
- Grilled wild boar bacon (I’ve been craving this since the Lido Deck fiasco so I’m glad I finally had it, but I prefer regular bacon. I like my bacon crisp and because this type is so thick and chewy, you can’t get that. It’s good, but it’s different.)
Total, including 1 hot chocolate (SUPER chocolatey, not very sweet, topped with CF whipped cream and a little small I think for the price): $40.61
After brunch, my mom and I went next door to the attached deli. Be advised: the polenta butter cookies are no longer on the menu, even though they’re still on the board. 😦
Instead I got a cinnamon bun and a jar of blackberry preserves and she got 2 shortbread cookies, one plain, one pistachio–I took a bite of the plain and Jesus, take the wheel it’s good–and a slice of zucchini bread. I’ve yet to try the bun, but if that shortbread is any indication, I may have finally found the bun I’ve been looking for since getting back.
