My mom made a banana pudding pie and had some left over crushed wafers. I absolutely hate for food to be wasted so I started thinking of what I could do with it. I added some melted butter–okay, a lot of melted butter.
My mom: Is that too much butter?
Me: Yes. But in the way that there is no such thing.
My mom: That sounds like something Paula Deen would say.
Me:
Baked off the bottom. Meanwhile, macerated a pear in half a cap full of Bailey’s and a pinch of brown sugar.
Baked everything together for 10 mins.
