This is when I hate facebook

I had a best friend who stopped talking to me. And there’s more to the story but, at the same time, there isn’t. For whatever reason, even though it’s been years since we’ve had a real conversation, we’re still social network connected. His latest profile picture is one I’m in, but I’ve been cropped out.

As I typed that last sentence, my iTunes:

There are people in your life who’ve come and gone
They let you down
You know they hurt your pride
You’ve got to put it all behind you ’cause life goes on…

Agreed. And for the most part I have but every so often, like when the national conversation switches from Jersey Shore and Bristol Palin to the profound importance of friends and family, I’m reminded of how much I miss the person I used to know.

I just need to get out of my head tonight.

About J.

A former twentysomething with a head full of curls and heart full of questions wondering: when we get to nirvana, will there be food?
