And I’m curious now why you don’t see more Christian groups that are anti-choice–everyone is pro-life–and anti-same sex parenting advocating for their members to adopt? Who do they think is supposed to take in all these kids? Or why aren’t they lobbying to make adoption easier for hetero couples rather than eliminating it for gay couples? It seems hypocritical to me that a person would tell someone else to put their child up for adoption if they are not in the practice of adopting. And I can’t see how any position which keeps children out of homes where they are wanted to instead “[be] moved around like boxes by the system,” as one of the people who went through the foster care described it, is really in their [the children’s] best interest. Not to mention that most of these children will be minorities/have special needs.
I question their silence here as I question it with not striving to make divorce illegal which seems like a better “protection” of it (whatever that even means) than making it more exclusive.
