I guess people were there selling things…that they made? Probably. I don’t know.
We all know what I went there for:
Really I was looking for the KO Taco Truck. I haven’t heard anything about them but, in my mind I was feeling something Mexican. That is until I walked by this bratwurst stand (I can’t remember the name, but I do remember the slogan: “We will always give you our wurst!”) and it smelled delicious. The sausages are $7, homemade with no preservatives and no fillers and they bake their own bread. Sold!
After that, given that it was a bit warm today, I needed something to cool down.
$5 for a chocolate chip cookie with strawberry/candied jalapeño ice cream. It was really good (yay for soft cookies!) but I think that in general with ice cream cookie sandwiches, they give you too much ice cream so you have to eat with strategy.
I wandered around a bit, ran into a couple people that I know. Caught the very end of Kenneth (who played at my going away party)’s set.
I walked around a little bit more feeling like a Christmas pig in Brazil (or a Thanksgiving turkey in North America). I did see a really cool shirt that said “I [picture of a food truck] LA” but I didn’t get it because I don’t really wear t-shirts (and because I need to come up with $1041.27 to pay for my car and buying more clothes that I don’t need doesn’t really factor into that).
Eventually, I made it back to my bike, pedaled back to my car, came home and plopped on the couch: fat, tan and happy. 🙂
