The Road Home–Day 3/Day 4

Got back on the 101 to go from my grandmother’s house in NorCal to my cousin’s place about an hour north of me.

My pores and I were over it.

I drove a lot. You get it. Let’s just post pictures now.

I don’t remember where exactly this was but I thought it was such a beautiful moment to stumble on. I wanted to tell her that when I saw her in the bathroom but it felt too sacred to comment on.

That’s Lisa Hannigan doing a cover of “Tom Thumb’s Blues”

Finally made it that night and my cousin, aunt and I spent the night catching up, drinking tea and eating cookies.

I know I’ve said it before, but, HOW CUTE IS MY BABY COUSIN (and how gorgeous is his mama)??? I can’t even.

The next day was the final leg. And crazy foggy.

And home.

Finally.

About J.

A former twentysomething with a head full of curls and heart full of questions wondering: when we get to nirvana, will there be food?

WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT TAKING PICTURES AND EMAILING AND TEXTING AND BLOGGING WHILE DRIVING???

I thought you might say that. In fact, I meant to call and warn you. These pictures predate the warning so…
Oh! And I think I’ve figured out why it freaks you out so much (aside from the obvious), I don’t spend my time lining up the perfect shot. I see something interesting and I point and shoot. Mostly I get lucky/I don’t post the crappy ones. 🙂 I hear you though. I do. I AM A SAFE DRIVER.
