Last Friday at Fisherman’s Wharf

I joined Groupon which is really cool, and scored a $90 manicure/pedicure for $44

Freshly painted footsteps on concrete

Then afterwards I walked down to Fisherman’s Wharf to get some fish & chips from

1505 W 1st Ave

You know you're in Vancouver when you eat British food with Asian hot sauce

The only way it could be fresher is if the restaurant were on a boat

A few things I saw walking around

How fair is a garden amid the trials and passions of existence. ~Benjamin Disraeli

...it won't all go the way it should/But I know the heart of life is good ~ John Mayer

This area reminded me of San Francisco

Thankfully there are far fewer hills 🙂

At first I thought that was a raccoon. Now I think it's a sad panda. Is there some kind of hybrid? A melancholy pancoon? (Probably not.)

My nail tech was the first person in Vancouver (aside from my roommates) to give me her phone number and suggest we get drinks after she got off. I wanted to take her up on it but I’d forgotten to charge my phone and it died as I tried to send her a text message. I ended up reading in a coffee shop where I was tricked into thinking that a “café con leche” was the Cuban delight and not just an au lait. This round to you Kits Coffee.

About J.

A former twentysomething with a head full of curls and heart full of questions wondering: when we get to nirvana, will there be food?
